BO ADAMS
About Bo Adams
Some stories are written in songs. Others are written in second chances.
In September, Bo Adams came within days of losing his life.
What started as a routine trip to urgent care quickly became a medical emergency. A severe bacterial infection had spread to his kidneys and bloodstream, his blood sugar had reached dangerous levels, and doctors told him he was only days away from kidney failure, a stroke, or worse. After spending two weeks in the hospital and another six weeks recovering on IV antibiotics, Bo emerged with a renewed sense of purpose.
"I almost didn't get to finish this record.
I'm still here because my higher
power has a plan. This needs to
count."
That perspective became the heartbeat behind his debut full-length album, arriving in 2026.
Recorded in Austin with acclaimed producer Kyle Crusham, the album features an extraordinary lineup of musicians, including drummer Jimmy Paxson, members of Gary Clark Jr.'s band, and Grand Ole Opry musician Keith Sewell. The result is a rich blend of Americana, folk-rock, soulful grooves, and improvisational spirit that feels equally at home alongside James Taylor, Dr. John, and the free-flowing energy of great jam bands.
But Bo's story didn't begin in the studio.
Born in Memphis and raised between Oxford, Mississippi, and Destin, Florida, music found him early. Inspired by artists like The Beatles, James Taylor, and the classic songs that filled his childhood home, he made a life-changing decision at fifteen, selling his Nintendo to buy his first guitar.
"I realized I could escape into video games, or I could escape into music. Music gave something back."
His path was anything but conventional. He studied at the Atlanta Institute of Music, spent time at Ole Miss, worked at the legendary Tower Records on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, attended culinary school, cooked in New Orleans, and eventually returned to Florida, balancing resort management by day with performing in bars and clubs by night.
Running alongside the music, however, was another battle.
For years, addiction quietly shaped his life. Alcohol, drugs, broken relationships, and painful setbacks became chapters in a story that seemed impossible to rewrite. After a drunk-driving accident during the early days of the COVID shutdown, Bo entered recovery, beginning a long journey marked by treatment, relapse, perseverance, and hope.
Those experiences now give his songs their honesty.
Tracks like "Trying to Breathe" were born from seasons of heartbreak, loneliness, and survival. Others, like "Time Takes Time," reflect one of recovery's simplest but deepest truths: healing doesn't happen overnight.
"I don't have any great wisdom. I'm a foot soldier in recovery. I just know
how good helping people makes me feel."
Today, Bo knows exactly who he's making music for.
After completing treatment at Journey Pure in Panama City Beach, he returned to help others, leading music groups for people walking the same difficult road he had traveled. Watching music open hearts where words could not, convinced him that songs can do more than entertain. They can heal.
Now living in Memphis while building his live band alongside his longtime Nashville-based friend and production manager, Bo is also pursuing certification in music therapy. His vision reaches far beyond the stage. He hopes to visit treatment centers everywhere he performs, guitar in hand, offering encouragement through the one language that has always carried him forward.
"My hope in my calling is that one person hears a song that really lands
and realizes there's hope. That's the payoff. It it helps me in my gratitude
for every grueling, humbling step in my journey back from the dark side."
Bo Adams isn't chasing fame.
He's chasing purpose.
Every song is a reminder that recovery is possible, that grace is real, and that no one has to walk through life's hardest seasons alone. His music is rooted in authenticity, redemption, and the belief that sometimes the most beautiful songs are born of pain in our darkest hours.

Mission
At the heart of Bo Adams' music is a simple belief: honest stories have the power to heal. Through songs shaped by real life, redemption, heartache, hope, and second chances, Bo strives to create music that meets people where they are. Whether someone is celebrating a victory, carrying a burden, or searching for a way forward, his mission is to remind them they are not alone. Every lyric, every performance, and every mile traveled is an opportunity to encourage, connect, and offer hope, one song at a time.
